Fleming: 'ICE Needs To Recapture Those Criminals Who Pose A Threat To American Citizens'

Louisiana Republican Rep. John Fleming encouraged Immigration and Customs Enforcement to recapture the dangerous criminal aliens it released last year. 

Reacting to a recent report revealing that ICE released more than 36,000 criminal aliens who committed nearly 88,000 crimes, including murder, sexual assault, and kidnapping, Fleming criticized the Obama administration’s lack of immigration enforcement.   

“It’s as if this president is brazen enough to think he can force immigration reform by blatantly refusing to enforce the laws already on the books,” Flemming said in an email to Breitbart News Wednesday. 

“This release of convicted criminals, including murderers, appears to be a signal that Obama will do whatever he wants with illegal immigration unless Republicans capitulate to his demand for amnesty. Well, it won’t work,” he added.

According to Fleming, ICE needs to stop releasing criminal aliens and bring the dangerous ones back into custody.  

“ICE needs to recapture those criminals who pose a threat to American citizens, and refuse to carry out further releases that are at the administration’s discretion,” he said.
