President Obama quietly met with Democratic gubernatorial candidate and abortion-rights champion Wendy Davis today out of the view of the press.
The White House informed members of the press after the meeting occurred, revealing that Obama “visited briefly” with the Texas state senator following his remarks at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin.
Members of the press were holding in vans while the meeting occurred.Texas reporter Mark Wiggins of KVUE News in Austin revealed on Twitter that the meeting was closed to the press.
