Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal called on Rep. Vance McAllister (R-LA) to resign after a video surfaced that showed him making out with a female staffer that was not his wife.
“Congressman McAllister’s behavior is an embarrassment and he should resign,” Jindal said. “He says he wants privacy to work on his issues with his family. The best way to get privacy and work on putting his family back together is to resign from Congress.”
As NOLA.com noted, Louisiana GOP Chair Roger Villere also referred to McAllister’s unfaithfulness as an example of “extreme hypocrisy” that “has embarrassed our party, our state and the institution of Congress.”
McAlllister, the freshman Rep., was elected last November in a special election.
