WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Dave Camp, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, says he will not seek another term.
The Michigan Republican said in a statement Monday that he will retire after 12 terms in the House. He was term-limited as chairman of the committee.
His district is strongly Republican and the GOP is expected to hold the seat.
Camp is the second senior Michigan Republican to announce his retirement. Rep. Mike Rogers said Friday he would retire.
