The Obama official who oversaw the building of Healthcare.gov has retired.
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) chief operating officer Michelle Snyder, who planned to retire in 2012, stayed on at the request of CMS head Marilyn Tavenner.
During congressional testimony, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Snyder was not to blame for the Obamacare website.
“Michelle Snyder is not responsible for the debacle,” said Sebelius. “Hold me accountable for the debacle. I’m responsible.”
Sebelius remains at her post.
