Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) “stands for everything America doesn’t” and the Republican Party would end if the GOP nominated Cruz to be their candidate for president in 2016.
In an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that aired on Wednesday, Reid said, “If I didn’t care so much about our country, I would hope he would get the Republican nomination for president, because that would mean the end of the Republican Party.”
Reid then said the Republican Party “is staggering right now” and that he did not “know who they can expect to have a vote for them.”
