White House Refuses to Answer Whether Obama Will Cut Own Salary During Shutdown

On Monday, Attorney General Eric Holder said he would slash his own salary in the case of a government shutdown. On Wednesday, asked if President Obama would do the same, White House press secretary Jay Carney demurred. “”I don’t have anything for you on the President at this time,” Carney said, before launching into yet another broadside about Republican refusal to fund the government.
