Democrat Rising Star to Have Out-of-Wedlock Child

Rep. Joaquín Castro (D-TX), the twin brother of San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro and a Democrat pegged as a rising star, formally announced on his 39th birthday that he and his fiancée Anna Flores are expecting an out-of-wedlock child. 

Their first child, a girl, is scheduled be born in December.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, “Flores announced the pregnancy on her Facebook page in August.”
