On Breitbart News Sunday, a caller named Scott from Tennessee suggested that former Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN) should primary vulnerable incumbent Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN).
Speaking to host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 about an exclusive poll Breitbart News had obtained on Sunday that showed Alexander trailed a “credible conservative candidate” on the ballot by five points (49.5-44.9%), the caller said that Alexander lost his support when he voted for TARP.
“I haven’t liked Alexander since he voted for TARP,” Scott said.
He also said voters in Tennessee are souring not only on Alexander, but also on Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN). Bannon and Breitbart editor Mike Flynn, who obtained the poll, noted that both senators supported comprehensive immigration reform. Working class Americans, especially Republican primary voters, are revolting against this bill because of the negative impact, as estimated by the Congressional Budget Office, it will have on the wages of working class Americans.
The caller said that Wamp should have been the state’s governor, and emphasized he could be the “credible conservative” who could successfully primary Alexander.
