As speculation mounts over Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) 2016 presidential ambitions, the Texas Tea Party darling is headed to Iowa Saturday to speak to a conservative group there.
Cruz will be speaking to the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, IA, at Iowa State University on Saturday afternoon.
Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier told Breitbart News the senator is excited about the trip. “The senator is honored to be attending the Family Leadership Summit at the group’s invitation and looks forward to sharing his vision for how to get our nation back on track, and how conservative principles are the key to empowering American families to prosper,” Frazier said.
Cruz’s father Rafael will also speak at the event prior to the senator.
