Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, will head to Iowa on Saturday to attend the annual party of one of the state’s most influential political figures.
Jindal will attend the annual event hosted by Bruce Rastetter, a major GOP donor who will introduce Jindal to some of the most important networks in the state’s first-in-the-nation caucuses.
Iowa Republican Gov. Terry Branstad, who is running for reelection in 2014, invited Jindal, who is also the chairman of the Republican Governors Association. Jindal will reportedly “attend an event in support of Branstad” at Rastetter’s home before the party.
