Report: Clintons Push for Weiner's Early Exit

Sources say that Bill and Hillary Clinton are getting sick and tired of the Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner sexting scandal and are reportedly urging Weiner to quit his race for Mayor of New York City.

The Clintons are purportedly “bristling at the comparisons” between Huma Abedin and Hillary and the former first couple are worried that Weiner is going to surge ahead with his campaign despite advice to the contrary.

In a stunning reversal, the latest poll of the candidates for the race for Mayor shows that Anthony Weiner has fallen to fourth place among what many consider a very weak field of candidates.

Less than a week ago, Anthony Weiner was the clear leader in several polls, but now a majority want him to quit his race for mayor.

Worse, high-profile Democrat operatives are turning against him. Just to name a few, Obama adviser David Axelrod recently said that it was time for Weiner to “go away.” Additionally, New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd wrote that it was “Time to Hard Delete Carlos Danger,” and ABC is reporting that the Clintons are also urging their own supporters to push Weiner out of the race.

For his part, though, Weiner seems prepared to go the distance and shows no signs that he’s considering an early exit. He even seems ready to launch yet another round of apologies and intends to hit New York television markets with more ads.

Clinton supporters are afraid that the whole affair is beginning to “reflect poorly on the Clintons.”
