A Quinnipiac poll released Thursday delivers plenty of bad news for President Obama and his second term agenda. On every important national issue, the president finds himself upside down. This includes his overall approval rating, 44% – 48%; foreign policy, 40% – 52%; the economy, 41% – 55%. The president is also dramatically upside down on immigration, 41% – 50%.

It seems odd that the president would find himself in this position on the immigration issue just days after the Senate passed the comprehensive immigration reform he asked for. You would think that would be seen as a win for Obama. Moreover, the media assures us that the will of the American people is with Obama and the Senate bill.

Thus far, from what I have seen, this poll is getting little to no attention from the media.
