The Black American Leadership Alliance announced today that they have granted Breitbart News Network the rights to broadcast in its entirety, the DC March for Jobs Rally live on July 15.
Breitbart News Network Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon will host 5 hours of live coverage of the event from Capitol Hill beginning at 11AM EDT. Coverage will continue until 4PM. Bannon will be joined by Breitbart contributor and Tea Party firebrand Sonnie Johnson and Sirius XM radio host David Webb. The live coverage will also include speakers from the rally, and Black American Leadership Alliance founder Leah Durant will join the broadcast at 1PM.
The Rally is the first time a major protest unites Conservatives, Tea Party stalwarts, and Progressives in a fight focused on their collective opposition to the immigration bill recently passed by the Senate and currently under consideration in the House.
Tea Party favorite Senator Ted Cruz will be the keynote speaker. He will be joined by Rep. Steve King and Former Rep. Col. Allen West, among many others.
Leah Durant says the impetus for the rally is the disproportionate burden the “Gang of 8” immigration bill will put on already marginalized workers.
“The Senate Gang of Eight’s recently passed amnesty bill is not only unworkable, but immoral and puts non-citizens in direct competition with those poorest Americans who are hurting the most,” Durant says. “Increasing immigration levels through amnesty and new visa programs, particularly at the low-skilled level, will flood the labor market with millions more people, leading to higher unemployment, more poverty, and a lower standard of living for many in the black community.”
