The number two Democrat in the Senate, Dick Durbin (D-IL), has been a staunch ally for President Obama’s massive takeover of American’s healthcare, but now Durbin has told WLS Chicago that Obamacare (the Affordable Healthcare Act) needs changes and improvements.
Durbin’s comments come after the administration postponed implementing two key components of Obama last week.
WLS’s Bill Cameron asked Durbin if he “was alarmed,” by the postponement. Durbin replied, “What we need to have is a better definition of a full-time worker and how many will be affected by it. And the health insurance policy itself, the provisions that are included in it.”
Cameron reports, “Durbin is calling on Republicans to help change and improve Obamacare.”
Previously, through it’s many ups and downs, Durbin had fiercely defended Obamacare, even insisting on its enforcement in 2011 after a federal judge ruled the law unconstitutional.
