In a poll conducted between June 14-18, Reuters/Ipsos found that President Obama’s job approval rating has fallen to 44%, with 48% disapproving. This poll is one of many showing the president losing favor with the public in the wake of a handful of scandals swirling around his administration.
Currently, both Rasmussen and The Economist have Obama upside down at 44% – 55%; the latest CNN poll showed the president treading water at 45% – 54%.
The only outlier right now is a Pew poll that showed the scandals have only marginally affected the president. His approval rating sat at 49%, with only 43% disapproving.
Gallup is in the middle with 47% – 45%.
The Real Clear Politics poll of polls also backs up this latest Reuters poll. In just two months, between April 19 and June 20 of this year, President Obama’s job approval has moved 7 full points in the wrong direction, from 50% – 46.5% to 45.6% – 49.1%.
Today’s Reuters poll is not getting any media attention.
