Appearing on CBS’ Face the Nation, White House chief of staff Denis McDonough said that the White House had no clue where National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden was. “I don’t know where he is,” McDonough said.
He said that Snowden had exaggerated what the NSA was doing or was able to do. He said that Americans shouldn’t buy into “some of the hyperbole that’s now being thrown around,” which could “somehow cast a pall on the intelligence community.”
