Acting IRS Commissioner: 'The Solution Here Is Not More Money'

On Monday, IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel told the House Appropriations Subcommittee, “The solution here is, in my opinion, not more money.” He continued, “If you start with more money, that’s the wrong starting point.” Werfel said that the right steps were to do things correctly, then worry about the money.

The inspector general of the IRS, J. Russell George, added that he agreed with Werfel.
