Rep. King: NYC Should Have Been Warned Sooner of Tsarnaev Threat to City

Speaking on April 25, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said news that the Boston bombers planned to attack New York City after the Boston Marathon bombing was not conveyed to NYC officials quick enough.

Said King: “New York is always the number one terrorist target… I just wish [the FBI] had notified the city sooner rather than waiting until last night.”

King is concerned that America’s posture toward terror is still too relaxed. He also said he has trouble believing the two Tsarnaev brothers were operating independently: “I just find it very hard to believe that two individuals such as this could have obtained the weapons, the explosives, put it all together, arranged this on their own.”

“Either it was active conspirators or facilitators, who knew what was going on and said nothing and looked the other way,” King claimed.
