An Amazon user with the profile name “Tamerlan” whose purchasing profile comes up when the supposed email address of Tamerlan Tsarnaev is entered into Amazon’s “Find Someone’s Wish List” search engine compiled a list of books to purchase which may shed some light on the alleged terrorist.
The list of titles includes:
- The ID Forger: Homemade Birth Certificates and Other Documents Explained
- How to Make Driver’s Licenses and Other ID on Your Home Computer
- Document Fraud and Other Crimes of Deception
- Secrets of a Back Alley ID Man: Fake Id Construction Techniques Of The Underground
- The Lone Wolf and the Bear: Three Centuries of Chechen Defiance of Russian Rule
- Allah’s Mountains: The Battle for Chechnya
- Organized Crime: An Inside Guide to the World’s Most Successful Industry
A Lexis-Nexis search for Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the now deceased ‘Suspect 1’ in the Boston Marathon bombings, shows that the email address connected to the Amazon account is associated with his name. On Friday, Politico’s Glenn Thrush tweeted confirmation that this email address belonged to Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
Amazon user Tamerlan’s wish list totaled 23 books. His purchase list showed 6 books, including Chechnya: To the Heart of a Conflict and Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People.
All the books were either added to the list or purchased some time in 2006 and 2007.
Breitbart News called Amazon to confirm that Amazon user Tamerlan is the same person as Tamerlan Tsarnaev, but the offices were closed. As of the time of publication, there had been no return call.
