Michelle Obama Calls Herself "Busy Single Mother"

The halcyon days of the Obama’s storybook marriage are over. First lady Michelle Obama, in an interview with Burlington, Vt. CBS affiliate WCAX, attempted to show single mothers how much she empathized with them because she knew their pain, but instead uttered a Freudian slip that revealed how close she and Barack really are. The First Lady blurted out:

Believe me, as a busy single mother…or, I shouldn’t say ‘single’ – as a busy mother… You know, when you’ve got the husband who’s president, it can feel a little single, but he’s there … and as a busy working mom, and before coming to the White House, I was in that position as well – working, driving kids to practice, not having enough time to shop or cook, not having the energy.

She’s a busy single mom for single mothers, she’s a normal working mom who says,  “Going to Target for me is like a dream, you know?”, why she’s just like every woman in America, no matter who they are.
