Sen. Feinstein Delays Vote on Brennan for CIA Director

As news broke that the cloture vote over Chuck Hagel’s nomination for Secretary of Defense would not pass, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) announced a delay on the Senate Intelligence Committee vote for John Brennan, President Obama’s nominee for CIA Director.

The vote on Brennan was originally scheduled for Feb. 14 but has now been pushed back till after the “upcoming congressional recess.”

Republicans have requested that Brennan supply more information on the “armed drone program” and “the terrorist attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.”

To date, Brennan has defended the armed drone program–even its use against American citizens “who are suspected of terrorism”–but information on Benghazi is still lacking in Republican minds.

Feinstein has not requested “more information” on the drone program or Benghazi.
