On Tuesday, Democrats re-elected Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) to a second term as chair of the Democratic National Committee.
Wasserman Schultz said she was “humbled” that Democrats and President Obama had confidence in her to lead the party. An internal Obama campaign poll during the 2012 campaign found Wasserman Schultz was the campaign’s worst surrogate. She also presided over a DNC that went into debt during the 2012 campaign season.
Wasserman Schultz was reelected in Washington, D.C., where the Democratic National Committee had its winter meetings.Republicans will meet tomorrow in Charlotte, North Carolina for their winter meetings.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) is expected to re-elect RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, who is currently running unopposed, to another term.
