State Dept Tries to Hide Presence at Defamation of Islam Conference

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) erased the name of a U.S. official attending a Monday conference in Saudi Arabia on banning “defamation of Islam” after her presence was widely reported by conservative media.

An initial post on the OIC website mentioned the fact that U.S. Consul General in Jeddah Anne Casper would be attending. After the right-wing blogosphere noted and publicized that Caper would be there, suddenly the mention of her name was deleted.

When Breitbart News questioned the State Department as to why Casper’s name was scrubbed, they received this response from Peter Velasco from State:

I can confirm that CG Casper does plan to attend the symposium.  As to why her name does not appear on the web site – I will have to refer you to the OIC for an answer to that.

This sounds like a typical Obama Administration ploy; plan something underhanded and then fob off the responsibility on others. But their agenda has been clear for some time:

Remember when Obama went before the UN and promised “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam”?

Remember last year at the OIC, when Hillary Clinton promised to use “some old-fashioned techniques of peer pressure and shaming” in order to muffle critics of Islam?

Remember last December when Hillary Clinton and her department backed the infamous UN Human Rights Council with their Resolution16/18?

Or, most insidiously, remember this from last August, when Thomas Perez, Assistant Attorney General of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division, was asked, “Will you tell us here today that this Administration’s Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?”

And Perez refused to answer four times.

The Obama Administration wants to shut down criticism of Islam?

What are we supposed to say when some adherents of Islam practice clitorectomies on women, when the institution of slavery is practiced more widely in Islam than any other religion at present, when those who regard themselves as the most zealous of Islamic adherents routinely have beheaded Americans, when it has become the norm for Islamic states to openly pronounce Christians, Jews, Buddhists, and adherents of other faiths as infidels and target their countries for domination?

We’re supposed to be silent and await the executioner.

If there are moderate Muslims, they remain silent while their brethren threaten the world with the sword. Meanwhile, Barack Obama and his minions pave the path for the onslaught.
