Romney Draws 18K In Colorado

Republicans in Colorado have not seen this much enthusiasm for Republicans in a decade–and Mitt Romney on Saturday drew a crowd of 18,000 people at a campaign appearance in Englewood, Colorado.

When Romney appeared at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheater on October 24 with Kid Rock, 10,000 people showed up and nearly 10,000 more had to be turned away because the venue was filled to capacity.

Romney spoke Saturday at Comfort Dental Amphitheater, which was formerly known as Fiddler’s Green. A source sent along a picture from the rally. Romney is tied with Obama in Colorado in the RCP average of polls, but Republicans are leading Democrats in early voting and Romney is winning the state’s independents, which means momentum is on Romney’s side going into Election Day.

Obama won Colorado in 2008 by nearly ten points but has lost the support of independents who powered him to victory four years ago.
