President Barack Obama and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown (D) have been hostile toward the coal industry, and the Ending Spending Action Fund will run a television commercial throughout targeted areas in Ohio that will expose said hostility.
The commercial, entitled “Energy Ohio,” powerfully tells the story of how coal fueled America’s rise to greatness but is now doing the same for foreign countries like China.
“America is the Saudi Arabia of coal, but Barack Obama and Sherrod Brown are standing in her way,” the narrator says in the commercial.
Ending Spending Action Fund, the Super PAC founded by Joe Ricketts, the co-founder of TD Ameritrade, is making a six-figure ad buy to make sure the ad will be seen until election day.
Brian Baker, president of Ending Spending Action Fund, told Breitbart News the commercial will resonate with Ohioans because Obama and Brown have had a “devastating effect” on families in Ohio’s coal country.
“As this ad makes painfully clear, the failed policies of Barack Obama and Sherrod Brown have had a devastating effect on the folks in Ohio’s coal country — and the solution is obvious: to elect Governor Romney and Josh Mandel,” Baker said. “Working together, they will implement pro-growth, pro-energy policies and stop Obama’s war on coal.”
