The world likes a weak, apologetic America, as witnessed by a BBC poll taken between July 3 and September 3 around the world asking respondents which presidential candidate they preferred. Among the 21 countries surveyed, Obama’s popularity was huge; in ten of them his numbers were over 55%, with France the highest at over 70%. Every single country preferred Obama except one, Pakistan, which narrowly favored Romney.
Romney’s support never exceeded 20%. Obama averaged 50% of the voters, Romney 9%.
