The media is spending a vast amount of time making the case that President Obama has an insurmountable lead. In fact, the media seems to be making the case that Mitt Romney should simply throw in the towel. But if the Obama campaign’s emails are any indicator, this race is far from over. Today – a Sunday – the Obama campaign sent no less than three fundraising emails, two from the President, and one from the First Lady.
The President led off with a desperation email titled “I want to win”:
Benjamin —
I can’t do this on my own.
Before tonight’s fundraising deadline, I’m asking for your help.
We’re on the brink of a milestone American politics has never seen: 10 million grassroots donations in one election year. Help get us there.
Chip in $3 or more today:

Thank you,
Barack
If Obama wants to win, perhaps he should start by being a decent president rather than blaming his supporters. But that was just email number one. Next, Michelle chimed in:
Benjamin —
This campaign is getting down to its very last days, and fast. Tonight is one of the last big fundraising deadlines. Barack needs you with him now more than ever.
Make a donation of $3 or more before the midnight deadline:

Let him know that you’re right there with him.
Thanks,
Michelle
P.S. — We’re incredibly close to something historic: 10 million grassroots donations this year. Can we do it before midnight? You decide.
Really? “Barack needs you with him”? Isn’t that Michelle’s job? But then Obama decided that, for once, he’d get the last word:
Benjamin —
Today is our last quarterly fundraising deadline of this election.
Election Day is in exactly 37 days.
How we finish out this campaign — whether or not we’re successful — depends on what you do on days like this one.
Let’s finish strong:

Barack
“Let’s finish strong.” Good advice. Let’s boot this lame duck from the White House and end this inane string of emails.
