Governor Brian Sandoval (R-NV) is slated to give key remarks tonight at the Republican National Convention. As one of the top Latino powerhouses in the Republican Party, Sandoval will be appealing both to a hurting American people more generally – in his state of Nevada, unemployment stands at 11.6 percent – and to undecided Latinos more specifically.
Sandoval spoke with Breitbart News this afternoon in an exclusive interview. “I’ll be talking about my background, introducing myself to people of the country,” he explained. “I am going to be talking about how a Romney administration will be better for people of this country, as well as the state of the Nevada. I am going to leave a few things to surprise you.”
Sandoval added that he was interested in the controversial immigration plan of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), which has strong appeal for the Latino community but is off-putting for many in the more conservative base on illegal immigration.
