The Race Card Cometh Again…And Again

Vice President Joe Biden’s intelligence has never been in question…to him, anyway. To everyone else, the opposite is true.

The bipedal gaffe machine was at it again today when, in Virginia, he had a “‘Hello Cleveland’ while in Detroit” moment, telling the crowd, “With you, we can win North Carolina again!”

He then mocked the woman doing sign language at the event.

For any normal person that would be enough stupid for one day or even one month, but Biden is dedicated to his craft.

He told a largely black audience, “Romney wants to let the–he said in the first 100 days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules – unchain Wall Street. They’re going to put y’all back in chains.”

“They’re going to put y’all back in chains”? The racial overtones are clear.

You’d think the party with ears in tune with dog whistles (like saying “food stamps” is racist code, regardless of the fact that there are more white people on food stamps than any other race and food stamp enrollment has increased exponentially under this administration) would be a little more careful with their word choice. Well, you’d be right.

Those words were carefully chosen evoke thoughts of slavery and associate them with slavery. “Romney wants to bring back slavery!” is what Democrats wanted the audience to hear.

The absurdity of that aside, Democrats are famous for playing the race card. They make their living with it. But what they won’t tell you is that the Democrat Party is the party of slavery.

Slave owners were Democrats. When Republicans ended slavery, Democrats became the party of Jim Crow. They embraced the “progressive movement” whose founders were noted racists of their time. Progressives brought about eugenics, the idea that undesirable people and races (non-white races) could be bred or sterilized out of existence.

When all of that was rejected, the welfare state replaced the plantation. They realized they could create a permanent voting block for themselves, so progressives set about trapping generations of those people they had hoped to breed out of being in poverty and government dependence.

Joe Biden won’t tell you these things, and he may not even know. But the White House knows, the people writing his speeches know. And they know he, thanks to his reputation for saying stupid things, can get away with saying it in a way President Obama couldn’t.

It’s disgusting, it’s dishonest, it’s dishonorable and it’s despicable…and it’s something we will see more of as the election approaches because Democrats need black Americans to turn out in huge numbers to make up for their unpopularity with nearly everyone else. The race card has gone from a desperate, last-ditch move to plan A.

So yes, there are politicians out there who want “chains” to return, but it’s the party that never really put them away in the first place.

As if on cue, noted liar and Deputy Campaign Manager for Obama/Biden Stephanie Cutter was on MSNBC today, not to be asked about her lying to the media, but to agree with Biden’s comments and admit the President has “no problem” with this racist rhetoric. Their internal polling must be horrible to cause this much panic, to be this sick, this early.
