The announcement of Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney’s running mate is clearly galvanizing voters across the country; people are turning out in droves to see the new Republican ticket in person. Tweets from those attending the rallies today testify to the excitement:
@datakcy: At Romney/Ryan rally in NC: overflow crowd. Arena full. Cars backed up for miles!
@GayPatriot: All these people back into the trees are listening to @PaulRyanVP on outside speakers. Wow.

Attendees tweeted pictures from the rally, which had enormous lines backed up around the block:
And the ticket is on the offensive. According to Jim Acosta of CNN, Ryan compared Romney’s rescue of the 2002 “bloated, wasteful, corrupted” Salt Lake City Olympics to what Romney will have to do with the federal government. “That sound familiar?” Ryan asked.
Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), who introduced Ryan, summed up the economically rock-solid Ryan like this:
“My wife thought she married the tightest man in the world till she met Paul Ryan. He’s going to be even tighter with your dollars.”
The very antidote for the failed Obama policies. No wonder the grassroots are on fire.
