On FOX News’ “The Five” on Friday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has led the charge against Obamacare, clearly articulated what election 2012 and the fight against Obama is about when she said the only promise President Barack Obama has kept was his promise to fundamentally transform America.
Palin said, according to a FOX News account, she could “see both sides” of the debate among conservatives regarding Roberts’ decision that held Obamacare constitutional because the individual mandate is a tax. Palin said she understood conservatives who were rightfully livid at Roberts but also saw a silver lining in the Supreme Court “concluding that [Obamacare] is a tax — despite what Obama had promised that it’s not a tax.”
“The glass being half full now tells us, good,” Palin said. “You put it back in our hands, the people’s hands.”
Palin is right. Obamacare now essentially becomes “Obamatax” and, like all taxes, will be debated in the political arena.
And conservatives and Tea Parties have already started to reload after the Obamacare ruling.
