On the heels of the conservative movement’s success in Indiana with a critically important primary victory for Richard Mourdock over RINO U.S. Senator Dick Lugar, our focus must now shift to Texas and the U.S. Senate run-off between Ted Cruz and David Dewhurst. This race is billed as another seminal election for the conservative movement – and it should be. On July 31st, Texans will have a clear choice between a dynamic conservative change agent and a status quo moderate.
Ted Cruz is a citizen politician who wants to come to Washington to take on the establishment. David Dewhurst is an old fashioned politician who wants to come to Washington to beef up the establishment. Washington needs to be cleaned up from the top down. Conservatives have rejected the “go along to get along crowd” because more often than not they have compromised our core conservative beliefs. Ted Cruz wants to take on the Republican Party leadership when they get weak-kneed; David Dewhurst would just simply bow to the pressure.
There’s a divide emerging in American politics. Some people recognize that our country is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, while others simply look the other way. The Washington establishment presided over America’s shameful charge towards bankruptcy. With over $15 trillion in debt about to choke us to death, Ted Cruz is committed to righting the ship of state that has been adrift for years. He is a bold leader who will be on the Washington establishment.
It is important for Ted Cruz to join constitutional conservatives Tom Coburn, Jim DeMint, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Pat Toomey in the U.S Senate to take on the powerful entrenched interests that want to continue the failed policies that have put our country into this fiscal mess. Ted Cruz would come to Washington and take courageous actions that would make a difference. David Dewhurst, on the other hand, would sit idly by playing the puppet while the Washington establishment kicks the can down the road on our fiscal mess and does nothing to fix it.
The sprint to July 31st has commenced in the Lone Star State. Please do everything you can to elect Ted Cruz in the run-off election. Washington needs more constitutional conservatives like Ted Cruz to break the backs of the establishment. For more information, or if you would like to contribute to a worthy conservative candidate, please go to www.tedcruz.org. Every bit will help, and a win by Ted Cruz, coupled with our win in Indiana, will send a clear message that grassroots conservatives have had enough with the failed status quo in Washington.
