Andrew Breitbart Forces President Obama's Protesters to Fold Up Shop

On Saturday, September 18th, Glenn Beck and Andrew Breitbart headlined an event entitled “Right Nation 2010,” held just outside of Chicago, Illinois.

As you will see in our video report from the scene, when Andrew Breitbart arrived at the Sears Centre, he was met with an angry mob of protesters who were calling for an ‘end to hate’ while also hurling expletives and homophobic slurs toward the targets of their enmity.

In the following dramatic video, Breitbart brings the protest to a complete halt by cleverly asking sign holders to do the impossible: explain the placards they were carrying. In the end, the frustrated organizers abruptly end their protest and leave.

So, who organized and bussed in these protesters? Here is what we know.

As the woman at the end of the video above confirms, President Obama’s Organizing for America (A Project of the National Democratic Committee) helped coordinate the protest with at least an email blast to its local members.

In the short clip below we discover that the organizers are extremely reluctant to talk about their protest, but at the very end we at least learn the name of the lead organizer, C.J. Hawking.

Who is C.J. Hawking? For more details on that we turn to the Democratic Socialists of America, who in 2009 wrote:

Kim Bobo, the Executive Director of Interfaith Worker Justice (IWJ), was to be our featured speaker. Due to a family emergency, she had to cancel all her appearances that week, including the Dinner. But she nominated, and we accepted, the Reverend C.J. Hawking as her replacement. C.J. Hawking is the Director of the local affiliate of IWJ, Arise Chicago.

The tradition of doing a “Debs Day Dinner” started very much as a fundraising exercise in the days of the old Socialist Party of America. This Dinner, today, still accounts for a large majority of Chicago DSA’s income.

What is Interfaith Worker Justice? It’s where God meets Marx. Think Allahinsky. IWF’s founder is Kim Bobo, who is famous for writing the book on training community organizers at the Midwest Academy (the training school mecca for their famous clients, including ACORN, SEIU, and the DNC)

Who funds Interfaith Workers Justice (IWJ)? According to their annual reports from the past 4 years, SEIU has funded to the tune of $400,000 to $800,000. So has the Ford Foundation. Not mentioned in these reports is the generous support IWJ has received from the Tides Foundation over the years.

Who loves and supports the IWJ? The Obama Administration’s Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. In the video below, Secretary Solis praises the IWJ directly while helping hawk the book of its founder and radical trainer, Kim Bobo.

UPDATE: The angry Progressive man who argues with Breitbart in the top clip above is named Reverend Eugene Winkler. From his bio:

The Rev. Dr. Eugene Winkler has served since 1989 as Senior Pastor of the historic Chicago Temple First United Methodist Church.

Reverend Winkler is also known for having sued both the City of Chicago AND the Department of Defense over the Boy Scouts:

The suit, Winkler v. City of Chicago, was filed on behalf of Eugene Winkler and Kevin Poloncarz.

Winkler is a Methodist minister who objects to the City’s endorsement of religion. Poloncarz is a gay agnostic who wished to volunteer as an adult leader in one of the City’s scouting program. He objects to the exclusion of homosexuals from the City’s scouting programs as well as the requirement that participants make a pledge that acknowledges God.
