NEW YORK, May 22 (UPI) — Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly admits he was initially anxious his dream job of playing the villain Rocksteady in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows might conflict with his WWE Superstar schedule.
“When I got offered the opportunity, I was just concerned it was going to interfere with the WWE schedule,” the Irish entertainer told reporters in New York Sunday.
“For example, the last two days, I was doing the [Turtles] press junkets and everything and then I just jumped in the car yesterday [afternoon after interviews,] drove up to Albany, wrestled last night, then came back last night. So, it was pretty hectic. [During filming,] I was going on a live-event tour from Friday, Saturday, Sunday and doing RAW Monday and jumping on a plane, landing in New York at 4 in the morning to be on set at 7. That was the biggest obstacle or thing I was worried about, but it was so much fun on set. It was so much fun working with all these guys, that no matter how tired you were, the minute you hit that set, the energy was up and it was time to play.”
Starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Laura Linney, Stephen Amell, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Gary Anthony Williams, Alan Ritchson, Tyler Perry and Brian Tee, the movie is set to open nationwide June 3.
