Aug. 27 (UPI) — WNBA rookie sensation Angel Reese will launch the Unapologetically Angel podcast Sept. 5, she announced Tuesday. It will air Thursdays on YouTube and other podcast platforms.

“I’m super excited to be announcing my podcast, Unapologetically Angel,” Reese said in a video posted to her social media accounts. “I’m looking forward to this so much. Y’all are gonna see your favorite celebrities, actresses, artists, anybody that y’all wanna see.

“We can be spilling the tea from our voice, our narrative, our perspective, before the blogs, which y’all think y’all clocking tea. Y’all not clocking no tea because we are gonna spill the tea on our real lives, period.”

The podcast is a production from Playmaker, which also is behind Shaquille O’Neal’s The Big Podcast. Maya Reese — who is not related to the basketball star — will co-host Unapologetically Angel.

Reese, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, set a league record with 15 consecutive double-doubles earlier this season.

She also averaged a WNBA-best 12.9 rebounds per game through her first 29 appearances.

The Sky will host the Washington Mystics at 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday in Chicago. They have an 11-18 record at sit at No. 8 in the WNBA standings. The Top 8 teams in the standings at the end of the season will advance to the playoffs.
