July 21 (UPI) — Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg is lending her voice to Ursula the sea witch in Descendants 2.
The TV movie mixes live action and animation and is set to premiere on the Disney Channel Friday night. It follows the children of numerous Disney villains, including Ursula’s daughter Uma, played by China Anne McClain. The film co-stars Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson and Mitchell Hope.
Goldberg was recently honored as a Disney Legend. She is also a longtime co-host on The View, which airs on ABC, a subsidiary of Disney, and she played one of the hyenas in the cartoon classic, The Lion King.
