LONDON, Sept. 10 (UPI) —
A California man with a 4-inch tongue and a Briton with 12,463 pieces of James Bond memorabilia are among the newcomers to the Guinness Book of World Records.
The 2015 Guinness Book of World Records, a 60th anniversary edition of the tome due out Thursday, features new record holders including Nick Stoeberl, 24, a California resident whose 3.97-inch tongue was officially certified as longer than the previous record holder, a 3.86-inch tongue in the mouth of British man Stephen Taylor.
Nick Bennett, 47, of Leigh, England, is making his Guinness debut in the 2015 edition for his 12,463-strong collection of James Bond memorabilia, including toys, books and movie props.
Also appearing in the newest edition is Denmark resident Karsten Maas, 49, who created the world’s longest usable golf club at 14 feet, 5 inches long. Maas used the club to drive a ball a distance of 542 feet,10 inches, to prove its usability.
London inventor Yannick Read made the Guinness book with the creation of a camping trailer measuring only 7 feet, 11 inches long; 5 feet high; and 2 feet, 7 inches wide. The roadworthy caravan is outfitted with a bed, a TV, a sink and a kettle.
