June 14 (UPI) — Jason Mantzoukas, Ella Purnell and more have joined the voice cast of upcoming Star Trek animated series, Star Trek: Prodigy.
Star Trek: Prodigy will be a CG-animated series on Paramount+ that follows a group of alien teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it for adventure, meaning and salvation.
Mantzoukas is voicing the character of Jankom Pog, with Purnell as Gwyn. Brett Gray is Dal, Dee Bradley Baker is Murf, Angus Imrie is Zero and Rylee Alazraqui is Roh-Tahk.
The official Star Trek twitter page released photos of each voice actor next to their respective characters.

Kate Mulgrew is returning to the sci-fi franchise to reprise her role as Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Prodigy. Mulgrew previously portrayed Captain Janeway for seven seasons on Star Trek: Voyager from 1995 to 2001.
Star Trek: Prodigy hails from Nickelodeon and CBS Studios. The show is aimed towards younger audiences.
Kevin and Dan Hageman developed the series and serve as co-showrunners. Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth are serving as executive producers. Ben Hibon will direct, co-executive producer and serve as the creative lead.
