Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku was listed as questionable for Sunday’s NFL game against Baltimore after suffering face and arm burns in a household accident, the team announced Saturday.

Multiple reports said the 27-year-old American son of Nigerian-born parents suffered the injuries while lighting a fire pit.

“Thank you everyone for reaching out, but David Njoku is ok, thank God,” Njoku’s agent, Malki Kawa, posted on social media.

Njoku, in his seventh NFL campaign all spent with Cleveland, caught a career-high 58 passes for 628 yards and four touchdowns last season.

In three games for the Browns this season, Njoku has 10 catches for 92 yards.

Njoku signed a four-year contract extension worth $56.75 million in 2022.

The Browns, 2-1, activated tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden off the practice squad as a potential roster replacement for Njoku if he cannot play in Sunday’s home showdown of AFC North division co-leaders.

Cleveland will likely use reserve tight ends Harrison Bryant and Jordan Akins in the lineup should Njoku be unavailable.
