Multiple people shot at suburban Kansas City gun shop

SHAWNEE, Kan. (AP) — Police say multiple people have been critically injured in shootings during an apparent botched robbery at a suburban Kansas City gun shop.

Shawnee, Kansas, police Maj. Dan Tennis says the owner of the business and at least three suspects were shot. He says the woman who co-owns the business sustained minor injuries to her face.

Johnson County MED-ACT spokeswoman Angela Fera says crews were called around 2:15 p.m. Friday to a store called She’s A Pistol in Shawnee. Three people from there were transported in critical condition.

Fera says crews were called to a second scene more than 1 mile away around 3 p.m. That person’s injuries weren’t considered life-threatening.
