LAKE PLACID, N.Y., Feb. 17 (UPI) — Every living member of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” men’s Olympic hockey team will reunite to celebrate the anniversary of their victory in Lake Placid Saturday.
The “Relive the Miracle” celebration will be in the same arena the team won 4-3 over the Soviet Union in the 1980 Winter Olympics.
The event will include the raising of the jersey of teammate Bob Suter who died in September at the age of 57 of a heart attack. He is the first team member to die.
Tickets are available for people who would like to attend the event.
