June 11 (UPI) — Lorde celebrates the beach in her newly released music video for “Solar Power,” the first single from an upcoming album of the same name.

The singer enjoys an active day at the beach by running and dancing in the sand with other beach goers in the clip released on Thursday.

Lorde co-directed the video with Joel Kefali. The 24-year-old also co-wrote and co-produced the song with Jack Antonoff.

“I hate the winter/ Can’t stand the cold/ I tend to cancel all the plans (so sorry, I can’t make it)/ But when the heat comes/ Something takes a hold/ Can I kick it? Yeah, I can,” Lorde sings.

“Solar Power” is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, Pandora, Tidal, Soundcloud and Deezer. The Solar Power album has no release date.

“The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalizing the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors. In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learnt to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through,” Lorde said in a statement.

Solar Power will be Lorde’s third studio album. She last released Melodrama in 2017.
