NEW YORK, Nov. 10 (UPI) — Kristen Wiig will return to host Saturday Night Live for a second time.

NBC announced in a press release Thursday that the 43-year-old actress and comedian will host the show on Nov. 19, featuring musical guest The xx.

“Finishing November with Kristen Wiig and @The_xx! #SNL,” the series confirmed on its official Twitter page.

The xx announced its third studio album, I See You, the same day, and released the record’s first single, “On Hold.” The album is scheduled for release Jan. 13.

Wiig first appeared on Saturday Night Live in 2005 and was made a regular cast member the next year. She previously hosted an episode in 2013 following her departure from the show in 2012.

“My manager encouraged me to submit a tape of all my characters and sketches to SNL,” the star recalled of the audition process to The New York Times in 2013. “I’ve never even seen the tape that they sent in, because I don’t like watching myself. You never think they’re going to say yes.”

“We were all nervous and excited and fearful,” she added of her family’s reaction to her making the show. “It was really taking a step off a ledge and not knowing what was on the other side. You just hope people are laughing on the way down.”

Actor and comedian Dave Chappelle will host the show’s Nov. 12 episode featuring musical guest A Tribe Called Quest. Wiig is also slated for the movies The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards and Downsizing.
