June 9 (UPI) — Frankie Grande is engaged to be married.
The 38-year-old singer, dancer, YouTube personality and television personality got engaged to his boyfriend, Hale Leon, after two years of dating.
Grande confirmed the news Tuesday on Instagram.
“He said YES! WE’RE ENGAGED! I am so happy my best friend said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me! Playing games and making me laugh forever!”
“Speaking of games… I proposed IN VIRTUAL REALITY! HE FREAKED OUT! I can’t wait to post the video,” he added.
Leon is a Twitch partner who streams video games on his channel. Grande said in an interview with People that he proposed at Dreamscape, an immersive VR venue in Los Angeles.
“It was such a perfect, beautiful moment,” Grande said. “Hale was completely surprised and we both started crying tears of joy. I have been working on proposing to him in virtual reality for over a year and it was ABSOLUTELY breathtaking for us both.”
Grande and Leon met in 2019 at a line dancing bar in Los Angeles. The couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in March.
“Babe, if we can survive quarantine… we can survive anything! Happy 2 year anniversary my love. Looking forward to so many more laughs and smiles and costumes and hopefully no more haircuts! I love you with all my heart!” Grande wrote on Instagram.
