Washington (AFP) – A Philadelphia Good Samaritan who couldn’t resist a dig at Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor as he described helping rescue children from a fire has been invited to a game by the NFL player.
A man who identified himself as Hakim Laws said he was walking in the neighborhood of an apartment building fire and intervened to assist another man who went in to help people out.
“My man just started throwing babies out,” Laws told television station CBS Philly. “And we were catching them, unlike Agholor.”
Agholor, who dropped a potential game-winning touchdown against Atlanta a week ago and had another dropped pass in a loss to Detroit on Sunday, responded after the video of Laws’s interview went viral.
“Thank you for being a hero in the community, would like to invite you and your family to the next home game,” Agholor tweeted. “Twitter help me out and get me in touch with him.”
