CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 13 (UPI) — He outdid his postgame garb with a Santa Claus costume Tuesday while making the rounds at Charlotte-area charity events.

But Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton’s biggest gift will come from his girlfriend Kia.

Newton’s father, Cecil Newton, told NBC Charlotte Tuesday that the couple is expected its second child “any day now.”

Kia and Cam’s first son, Chosen, was born on Dec. 24, 2015. Newton announced that birth on Dec. 30 on his Twitter account.

Cecil and Jackie Newton also said in the NBC Charlotte interview that they don’t know what the next child will be named.

While doing his tour in the Santa costume, ‘Santa Cam’ presented a $30,000 check to start a backpack program for kids in need at the Barringer Academic Center, according to the Charlotte Observer’s Katie Peralta.

Newton, 27, won the NFL MVP Award last season with 35 passing scores against just 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 636 yards and 10 scores and led the Panthers to the Super Bowl. This season he has rushed for 317 yards and five scores. He’s passed for just 15 scores against nine picks while posting a 5-6 record as a starter.
