LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) — So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley and her husband, Irish comedian Patrick Kielty have welcomed their first child.
Announcing on Twitter Tuesday, Deely, who revealed she was pregnant in September, has given birth to a baby boy in January.
“Beyond delighted to announce the birth of our baby boy last week,” the 39-year-old wrote which Kielty later retweeted. “All doing well & we couldn’t be happier … 3 really is the magic number.”
No other further details were mentioned including the baby’s name.
The television personality even attempted to hide her pregnancy before the announcement telling People magazine at the time, “To be perfectly honest, I wouldn’t have even announced it to anybody if I hadn’t been doing a live TV show.”
“I probably would have tried to hide it for a bit longer, but it got to the point where I was like, ‘Ah, I’m live every week.’ And then people grab me and I’m like, ‘Oh no.’ There is only so much microphone and card work you can do in the middle,” she continued.
Deeley and Kielty met in 2002 and got married in Rome in 2012. On the subject on starting a family, Kielty once joked in the past according to Sky News, “I hope any child we might have has Cat’s looks and my accent. With our two strong accents, we basically needed subtitles or a UN translator.”
