June 30 (UPI) — Actor and rapper Kyle Massey, who starred in Disney’s That’s So Raven, has been charged with sending explicit videos and messages to a 13-year-old girl.

Prosecutors say Massey, 29, engaged in the conduct for a few weeks beginning in December 2018 over the social media platform Snapchat.

He’s been charged in King County, Wash., with one count of immoral communication with a minor, a felony.

Prosecutors say the girl’s mother gave police a flash drive containing the material.

According to the complaint, Massey also asked the girl’s mother to send her to Los Angeles to stay with he and his girlfriend.

The girl’s family filed a civil lawsuit against Massey in 2019, claiming that he sent her explicit messages, images and videos. In the suit, the girl says she has known Massey since she was a young child.

Prosecutors asked the court to bar Massey from contacting the girl and issue a protection order.

Massey did not appear in King County for his arraignment on Monday, court papers say.

The actor has not publicly responded to the charges, but denied them when the suit was filed two years ago.

“No child should ever be exposed to sexually explicit materials and I unequivocally and categorically deny any alleged misconduct,” he told TMZ at the time.
