Landmarks throughout the world lit up with the colors of Turkey’s flag — red with a white crescent — to honor the victims of the airport bombings in Istanbul.

The Eiffel Tower in Paris was due to turn red at 11 p.m. local time but the gesture was postponed at the last minute.
Nevertheless, many places lit up for Turkey worldwide. In Germany, the Brandenburg Gate played host to the country’s flag.
In Amsterdam, meanwhile, the Royal Palace was illuminated red and white.
A bridge in Bosnia was washed in red.
Melbourne’s Arts Centre was also lit up in the colors of Turkey’s flag.
